This trail is subtle and often overlooked due to a lack of signage. It is located between W. Maple Road and Fort Street between 144th and 156th Street. The biggest asset this trail has going for it is the connection it provides between Standing Bear (via the 144th Street trail system) and Huntington Park (which links to the West Papio). It also features a trail around a small pond shrouded in native grass just north of the connector a couple of blocks which provides a nice side trip. The trail runs almost due east to west, traversing some of the steepest hills in the western part of the city. They are short distances but very intense grades. The trail runs along a 150 ft. utility corridor so the view along the path is mainly residential backyards. However the view from the top of N. 150th Avenue affords a panoramic view of west Omaha.
