The Sorenson Parkway is a modern version of the historic boulevard system and was built along an abandoned railroad bed. The parkway has been completed from N 30th Street to the N 90th Street, however the planning for a bike path was not considered until late in the process. Most of the corridor was constructed with a standard width sidewalk but a 10 ft. wide path has been constructed from N 72nd Street west to the Little Papio Creek and the Keystone on its way to Cunningham Lake. The tie in to Military Road’s trail is also only a mile from this point but with only a sidewalk it requires travel in one of the lanes of the Parkway.

Extension of the 2-mile trail past N 72nd Street is possible but not likely due to right of way constraints. Links to the Keystone trail and Military Road trail.
