There are crumbling remnants of a roadside path on the north side from N 126th Street to N 132nd Street, however with current volumes and a narrow roadway, it can be a hazardous route during rush hour.

The character of the trail is residential in nature with some large vacant parcels on the western end. When complete, the trail will be an arterial link to the trails at Standing Bear Lake, the Big Papio, Bennington Lake, and Newport Landing. At its 3 ½ miles length the trail is better suited to walkers, runners, and inline skaters than bikers. However for those intrepid souls who travel the road west of N 126th Street, the view from the ridgelines past N 144th Street is spectacular.

Current plans are to run Military to N 168th Street then north to Bennington Lakes trail. Trail links: Standing Bear Lake, the Big Papio, Bennington Lake, and Newport Landing.

• Narrow and rough asphalt path for first mile (from 90th)

• Short distance to Standing Bear Lake
• Historic marker near N 92nd Street
• Adjacent to Arnold Palmer golf course and the Big Papio Creek crossing
• Great visibility and scenic views west of N 144th Street
• Trail network connections to 4 city trails
