| Keystone - South |
|
Scenic is not a term used to describe the Keystone South trail segment. The surrounding terrain changes dramatically for the 3 miles past Harrison Street and the land consists mostly of undeveloped large parcels. The term fast does come into play as the trail is straight and flat and there is no semblance of trees or obstructions for most of the ride. This portion of the Keystone can be brutal during the searing summer months with no water stops and the only relief from the sun coming at roadway under-crossings. The far south end of the trail is more scenic at the connection to the West Papio trail near the confluence of the Papillion and Big Papillion Creeks (36th Street).
