Zorinsky Lake

02The Lake Zorinsky Recreation Area is one of the Omaha area’s most utilized trails. It is located on 168th Street south of Center Street and runs both east and west of 168th street. The trail is 6 foot wide and all concrete. The trail length is broken down into two sections. East of 168 Street is 4.3 miles and West of 168th Street is 3.1 miles long. Combined the trail length is 7.4 miles. There are many picnic areas and water fountains for you and your pets.

Lake Zorinsky is frequently used by sail boaters and fisherman. The area is surrounded by some very nice high end homes with expansive landscaping and treed areas. You will see some bird wildlife, including egrets, heron, ducks and geese.

Parking lots are numerous on both sides of the trails. Restrooms are available but you must be within walking distance as the trail area is vast. A large boat ramp is located on the southern border of the area.
