My wife and I are both "newbies" to bicycle riding, I guess you can call me a returning Newbie, I'd been off of bicycles since the late 1960s. My wife had tried a bike a few times years ago, but never became an accomplished rider at that time.

Anyways, our first ride of the year in April was once around Walnut Creek Lake. Nice!

However, on our counterclockwise ride of the lake, starting at the boat launch, the uphill section after the dam was more of a workout than expected. If you haven't ridden this trail, and are a newbie, you might want to keep this in mind.
